A large beverage company came to Placer Process for help with a water distribution problem they were having. Facility staff had tried to remedy the problem unsuccessfully. While they were able to apply quick fix solutions that allowed the facility to get back into production it was never a permanent solution. Issues continued to cause shut downs until Placer Process as able to solve the process system problem.
After identifying the issue through a detailed facility audit Placer Process was able to show how the overall capacity of the process water distribution was not high enough to meet peak demand – there simply wasn’t enough water in the system to keep all of the product lines running at the same time. Not only was the audit able to identify this issue, but with the expert analysis and planning of Placer Process designers we were not only able to increase capacity but also made efficiency and safety improvements.
