Expanding Manufacturing Capabilities Without Disruption

Just like in any system, food and beverage manufacturing facilities have steps in the process that act as a choke point where the limitations of that step slow down the entire process line. These systems are often crucial to the process as a whole and can sometimes be used in multiple production lines. As such, when they need to be upgraded, repaired, or replaced, disrupting the production line is always a concern.

Milk Storage Tanks

Luckily, there are fantastic turn-key solutions available for these types of challenges. For example Placer Process recently partnered with a prominent dairy products manufacturer that was facing a production restriction due to the limited availability of raw milk storage. This particular storage tank was long overdue for replacement, but being such a crucial piece of the production line, it could not be offline for long to keep the facility running optimally.

One of the strengths of our team at Placer Process is that we have the experience to know an ideal solution for this problem. Many of our designs are modular, allowing us to build the systems outside of the production facility. The benefit of this is during the construction of the solution, the manufacturing facility can stay online, only coming offline briefly if at all so the old system can be swapped out for the new one.

In our example of the raw milk storage tank, this design approach allowed us to install a new tank system with zero downtime for the facility. If your facility is looking to have an upgrade or new equipment and can’t afford to have any downtime, contact Placer Process for the project.
